Created attachment 58869 [details] Reduced test case The text to the right of the caret is not always moved to the right while typing in a contenteditable div. The new text is just displayed on top until the spacebar is hit or the contenteditable looses focus. The attached HTML file contains a reduced test case that reproduces the problem in Google Chrome 5.0.375.70 and Safari 4.0.5 (532.22.7) on Windows 7. The correct behavior can be seen in Internet Explorer 8.0 and Firefox 3.6.3. The issue seems related to the contenteditable div being placed in a scrolling div where it is further to the right than the width of the browser window. I would appreciate any indication of the root cause since this may help me work around the issue by adding some extra styling, attributes or JavaScript.

Bug reproduced in Safari 5.0 (7533.16) on Windows 7.

I can't reproduce this bug either on Safari and Chrome on Mac and Chrome on Windows.

I agree. The issue has been fixed and can no longer be reproduced in the latest versions of Chrome and Safari.
