Hi,
I have java 6 update 18 installed on my Win 7 Pro x64 workstation, and even after repeatedly reinstalling it, it does not work under safari. I go to java.com and it says that I do not have java installed and that I need to install it. I install it, but it does not come up under Safari. It works fine under Google Chrome and Internet Explorer on the same computer.

When Safari 4.0.5 was originally released, the current version of Java was Java 6 update 18. In the most recent update to the Java plugin, Java 6 Update 20, the issue is resolved and the plugin works in Safari 4.0.5.
