page modifications after loading (e.g. via AJAX) are not forwarded to the page-back cache. Alternatively, the page back cache could be updated directly after the onpageunload handler.

Can you please provide an example of what you’re talking about? A test case with steps to reproduce would be ideal.

sorry, not a webkit bug. the phenomenon only happend with the protoypejs library 1.6.1. A downgrade to protoypejs 1.6.0.2 solved the problem.
