Reported 2026-02-03 06:35:44 PST
in the recent Safari and iOS update 26 an issue was introduced where when using text-indent to intend the first line and the other lines are flush to the left, while typing the text jumps in the second wrapped line. I have created a demo of the issue. It only happens in safari on mac (not in chrome or chromium based browsers) and it happens on all iOS browsers. The repo: https://github.com/matalina/webkit-bug A demo: https://frolicking-dragon-10ad73.netlify.app/ It was working as you can see in the following video: https://www.loom.com/embed/00b03c8319e74d06aa0f28278e2835ef?unfurl=blocks This is on Safari 18 and Sequoia 15. It was working up till 26 was installed by manyi of our users.

Thank you for the report! I can reproduce this with iOS 26.2, but not with recent development builds. Likely fixed with bug 303056 or related work.

FWIW, I cannot reproduce with iOS 26, so this was a regression between 26 and 26.2.

Hmm, but seems like I can still reproduce on aligned macOS builds. This looks very similar to bug 307125, but timelines seem inconsistent. Ahmad, would you be willing to dig deeper?
