Created attachment 41203 [details] Screenshot of bug for better understanding as it's a display bug It happens when the following setting is unchecked: Preferences > Tabs > When a new tab or window opens, make it active See attached screenshot for details. Additional info about my system: I've also recently upgraded from Leopard.

Tabs are part of the Safari application, not the WebKit rendering engine. See <http://webkit.org/blog/101/back-to-basics/> for more on the difference. Bugs in the Safari application should be reported at <http://bugreport.apple.com/>.
