This bug report originated from issue QTBUG-3297
http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-3297
--- Description ---
The current QtWebKit plugin system works great - for everything that comes in an object tag.
It would be nice to have another hook for plugins that can accept custom tags (e.g. to implement compatibility with tags used by other browsers, such as mozilla XUL tags, or to implement <applet>, etc.)
