Observed using the demo browser provided with Qt 4.5 Embedded running in a virtual frame buffer.
When entering a password to
https://www.qtsoftware.com/login_form
the password should be echoed as dots but it is not echoed at all.

This sounds like a Qt bug on embedded. data:text/html,<input type=password> work fine on Mac OS X. Please check a normal Qt line-edit on embedded and verify that you can get dots there, if not report at bugreports.qt.nokia.com, otherwise re-open this one if it's still valid in trunk with Qt 4.7
