It appears this is now working as expected as of 294281@main. Let's figure out when this progressed.

Hmm, I cannot reproduce this progression on macOS Sonoma 14.6.1, but I can on macOS Sequoia 15.5 beta.

This progressed just yesterday with 294259@main, the fix for bug 292191. And I was wrong about Sonoma, I was testing an old build range, this indeed progressed on Sonoma as well.
