I cannot reproduce either of the two artifact bugs in Safari 3.2.2 (Win).

I could not reproduce the "leaves artifacts behind" bugs in Chrome 5.0.375.29 beta/WebKit 533.4, but could in 532.5, so I assume this has been fixed recently.
