Karl Dubost
On Bug 258588 / rdar://110097836 a quirk was introduced so that YouTube.com when Safari was put in the background and came back the layout of the homepage stays on 3 columns.
Steps to reproduce:
1. With an iPad
2. Launch Safari
3. Go to https://YouTube.com/ (if you have history, YouTube will have a 3 columns layout).
4. Home out of Safari to be back on the ipad desktop
5. Wait a few seconds
6. Bring back Safari again
Before the Quirk shouldSilenceResizeObservers
Youtube home page was on 1 column when bringing back Safari
After the quirk shouldSilenceResizeObservers
Youtube home page has the 3 column like before.
That said,
1. when deactivating Site Specific Hacks on iPad to remove the Quirk, it doesn't seem to change the behavior.
2. It's difficult to test on my current device as having Web Inspector opened seems to stall Youtube.com
So I'm on the fence. The initial Quirk bug seems to not reproduce, but at the same time I'm not 100% sure the Web Inspector has an impact on the test.
