The ability to better control when links spawn new windows vs new tabs would greatly enhance Safari/Webkit's usability. More than simply rerouting everything to a new tab, there needs to be a way to differentiate what get's opened as a tab, and what opens as a window.
Where I would specifically use this change is in Gmail. I would like the top links (e.g. Calendar, Documents) to open as tabs, but when I press the pop out button while composing a new email or chatting, it should open a new window.
Thanks,
Bobby
