Just wanted to provide an update here that this feature is now fully supported in Chromium (full spec) and in progress with Mozilla: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1726232
It would be great to have parity in WebKit, especially since Apple largely popularized squircles.
