It would be nice to have a user default where we can override the metal feature set of a device, at least for the purpose of computing limits and features.
E.g., instead of reporting Apple8 + Mac2 on an M2 MBP, it would be nice to write a user default that makes the WebGPU implementation use Apple4 limits
