Hello,

I'm just wondering if it would be feasible to enable the Web Inspector as a web extension? I imagine not shipping the Web Inspector is due to some internal policy (maybe for security or something) but it seems to be something seriously lacking from the iPad experience for developers. Perhaps this could be enabled as an explicit download of a web extension for those that need/want it rather than not providing it at all. I do realize there are a few attempts at a third-party inspector of sorts, but I (and I'm sure others) would love to see the same Web Inspector and features we have on the desktop version.

Thank you for your time.

We would not be taking this approach.

However, I'd like to know more about what you have in mind. Do you envision making the desktop Web Inspector available on the iPad (so, always in docked mode, and requiring a keyboard and a trackpad)? Or an entirely new touch friendly product?
