I don't see a freeze with r40771, despite reloading several times. Do you have a sample of Webkit when frozen?
Comment 2 Gustavo Delfino 2009-02-17 06:26:00 PST
I have just updated my webkit to version 41018 and it still freezes.

I have no safari extensions installed. I am on a MacPro with system 10.5.6. I am attaching of the frozen WebKit. When frozen I can still move the window (but no resize). I can not open the menus. The tab spinner continues to move. When I put the cursor over the red, yellow and green window buttons the mouse over effect does not happen.

I am attaching a screenshot.

I find that if I empty the cache, both the webkit nightly and Safari take ~90 seconds to load the page. This is inordinately long, and I'm not sure why, but I don't see a difference between Safari and Webkit

I have selected "Empty Cache..." from the safari menu and now web kit is no longer freezing. Maybe this bug report should be closed, but I'm not sure as Gavin reports very long load times.

I am commenting based on response from the reported in Comment 05 that it was resolved by cleaning Cache.

So it would be more of "RESOLVED INVALID. Thanks!
