Voiceover focus don't move further post selection of drop-down value

Actual result:
When VoiceOver user selects a value from list of options available and try move further the voiceover focus doesn't move to next element

Expected: VoiceOver focus should move to next element using right swipe gesture.

Steps to repro:
1) Launch https://alphagov.github.io/accessible-autocomplete/examples/ in safari browser
2) Enable Voiceover on mobile device
3) Use right swipe gesture and arrive at any combobox,and type a character 
4) List of options will be returned
5) close the mobile keypad by double tapping on done button
6) Move voiceover focus to list of options available using right swipe gesture
7) select any option by double tap on it
8) move voiceover focus forward to next element and check for voiceover focus.
