One feature I like about FF is that it renders spaces as real spaces in the address bar...

The address bar is part of Safari, not part of WebKit. See <http://webkit.org/blog/101/back-to-basics/> for more details about the distinction. Enhancement requests for Safari should be filed at <http://bugreport.apple.com/>. This bug will be closed as INVALID as it is not a WebKit issue.
