Created attachment 415563 [details] test case to reproduce the issue There is a bug in how non-static positioned grid items are placed in a grid area What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Load the attached test case (2) (3) What is the expected result? The grid item is placed correctly, so that it hides the red bar and just a 100px green square is visible What happens instead? A red vertical bar is visible, which implies that the grid item is not in the right position.

Thanks for filing, this reproduces for me in Safari 13.1.3 as well as STP 117, FireFox and Chrome.

I am not able to reproduce this in Safari 16.3 as well, it requires Ahem to be installed but instead of it, I used ‘ahem.js’ and changed the test case into “JSFiddle”. Link - https://jsfiddle.net/u73jqnpc/show It is working fine and matching with Chrome Canary 113 and Firefox Nightly 113. Marking this as “RESOLVED CONFIGURATION CHANGED”. Thanks!
