Add OK or FAIL after other browsers where you have tested this issue:
Firefox 3: OK
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select a part of a word or whatever.
2. Hold the shift-key and press the right-arrow.
What is the expected result?
The selection will extend one letter to the right.
What happens instead?
Nothing.

I don't think this is the correct usage of the GoogleBug, which is really meant to be a bug in a high profile google web product and not a Chromium issue.

Looks like it works as requested here in Safari now.

Selection works and it does not seem to have any reduced testcase, where it does not.
Further, it is so old that it might have been fixed by now. Even Chromium bug is now closed.
Marking this as "RESOLVED CONFIGURATION CHANGED".
