When I open webkit, the app name on the bar across the top of the screen says safari. When I check the "about" I get the same version as safari. Is there something wrong?

WebKit.app just launches the Safari you have installed with a newer WebKit framework. You won't see any difference in Safari application features when you're running the WebKit nightly.
