If you toggle the Layers checkbox in the Settings tab, you're prompted to "Reload web inspector" After the reload, it's not longer connected to the thing you were inspecting (I was inspecting an iOS simulator instance).
Also, "Reload" is a weird thing to say; users don't know that the inspector is web content.
