Steps to reproduce:
Go to bug url (https://esubmit.stanford.edu/esubmit/f?p=103)
Expected results:
Page should load almost immediately
Actual results:
Page does not load.
Not a regression, as I have the same problem in 3.1.1. Tested with r34522. Works fine in Firefox

The page does load after several attempts and timeouts, but the behavior is certainly not correct.

We believe that this is an issue in closed source system frameworks below WebKit, so I'm closing this as INVALID per out process. This will continue to be tracked internally by Apple, thank you very much for reporting this!

Just to clarify: did you have this problem before upgrading to Mac OS X 10.5.3 (assuming that it's what you use)?

I don't remember having the problem previously when using this system - last time I had to use it was probably back in March, and I think it was fine, so being problematic may have coincided with 10.5.3, though as noted, Firefox still works fine, even under 10.5.3.

Firefox doesn't use the HTTP protocol implementation provided by Mac OS X, so it is not surprising that it is not affected.
