In https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=170955, I made WebKit input event behavior compliant with the input events spec, if we consider insertion via the emoji picker to be "similar to autocorrect/spell checking" (the platform uses the same codepath to insert text in both cases). However, this policy isn't very useful, particularly to clients like Gmail that need to distinguish autocorrection and spell checking from other forms of text insertion. So we should explore limiting "insertReplacementText" to autocorrection and spellchecking.

Whoops, the client in question is actually Google Docs, not Gmail, though I'd imagine it would be helpful for Gmail as well!
