The attached HTML file should illustrate a problem with using max-height on this particular SVG (SRC: Wikipedia on "Copyleft"). This also happens if the SVG is referenced externally by an <img> element. This does not happen with all SVGs, but in this particular case, the element takes up the full width of the parent box.

Chrome has the same behavior as WebKit. Firefox puts the SVG image on the right.

Chrome and Firefox both place the copyleft icon on the right-hand side. We are now the only broken browser.
