I previously reported this as part of https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=773494 but was told that this is a WebkitGtk problem. The problem is that while the dpi settings made with through Xft.dpi in .Xdefaults influence the font size in in WebkitGtk views (such as that of the Evolution composer window) the cursor thickness however doesn't seem to increase with increasing density, leaving the cursor very thin and hard to spot. I am attaching a screenshot made in evolution mail with Xft.dpi: 170 that compares the normal curso thickness in other text fields with that in the WebkitGtk view.
