Setup: Pre-integration tests for GNOME 3.22.0 update
Graphical environment: Wayland (exclusive, X11 does not show the issue)
Diff applied: updated webkitgtk+ from version 2.13.92 to 2.14.0
Since this update, applications like yelp, evolution and epiphany behave very strange when being resized.
The window keeps a 'black' border where it was before, maximizing an app resized to some degree, but does not move the window to the top and maximizes it

Thanks for reporting, I guess this is only happening in Wayland. It's a known issue, but in GTK+, not in WebKit. See https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=771553
