I am not sure if I am creating this improvement request in the correct place, but here it is.
STP should implement support for Widevine CDM, so that for example, video on Amazon Prime would work without Silverlight. Currently, I have to use Firefox 47, Opera or Chrome to watch videos on amazon Prime.
Firefox implemented the support for Widevine CDM in the stable 47 release: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/47.0/releasenotes/.

Mass closing plug-in bugs, as plug-in support has been removed from WebKit.
Please comment and/or reopen if this still affects WebKit in some way.
