When I open this animation

in Safari, there's a lot of jank / stuttering / non-smooth motion. (Please watch the whole page for at least 10 seconds, on hardware equivalent to the hardware I listed below).
The animation runs smoothly in Chrome and Firefox.
Please make sure it runs smoothly in Safari / WebKit as well.
The setup used for testing:
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
2.53 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
OS X 10.11.3 (15D21)
