Since today, the BBC iPlayer can use HTML5 for playback:

However, going to the beta page:

with Epiphany says:
"Sorry, we can't provide you with the HTML5 Player beta because your browser doesn't support Media Source Extensions. Please try another browser. Only Google Chrome is supported on your platform at this time. Other browsers may work if you have support for non-free video codecs on your device."

Michael, do you happen to know if there is planned support for MSE in Mobile Safari at some point? It was recently added to iPadOS but it would be great to see supported on iPhones as well. Thanks.
