I tried attaching a file to a message in 37 signals's Basecamp. Got the following message several times:
Safari can’t open the page “https://[domain].projectpath.com/upload/projects/1228953/msg/all/create_comment” because it couldn’t establish a secure connection to the server “[domain].projectpath.com"
Note: I edited out the domain in the URL with [domain], but that's the message.

Is a self-signed or "star" (*.projectpath.com) certificate being used for the SSL site?
Does this work with Safari 3.0 on Mac OS X?
