Description Wenson Hsieh 2015-07-22 08:30:57 PDT
An input of type "search" has a "search" placeholder that overlaps the actual placeholder attribute text. To see this, go to data:text/html,<input%20type=search%20placeholder=search>.

Is this covered by existing regression tests? If not, can the fix be tested?
Comment 4 Wenson Hsieh 2015-07-22 09:53:47 PDT
Unfortunately, there's no existing way to test this besides pixel tests, which I've been told are not too useful. I've filed https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=147193 concerning this issue.
