1) Log on to calendar.google.com in a new tab
2) Add a new entry to your calendar
3) Try to close the tab and you'll get prompted with a "Are you sure you want to close this tab blablabla changes will be lost" dialogue
This dialogue should not appear since changes won't be lost

The dialog to which you refer is from Safari, not WebKit. You should file a bug report about this issue at <http://bugreporter.apple.com/>.

Apparently the bug was already in Safari's database.
My bug id is #5285840 which is a duplicate of #4119138.

That's okay. Duplicate bugs filed by customers indicate that there is more demand for a given bug (within reason :).
