Flash/Quicktime Problem

I've been having a problem with what I believe to be flash player in safari.  When I launch a webpage that requires it, a big white question mark within the quicktime logo shows up where a video should be playing.  So I installed webkit from the web, which helped for a bit, but now when i open webkit, it launches as safari instead.

Hi Jenn, the WebKit nightly builds actually do launch Safari, but they do it in such a way as to load a different WebKit framework.  You'll note that the icon is gold (if you use Command-Tab to switch applications) instead of silver.  The gold icon is the WebKit nightly, while the silver icon is original Safari.

It sounds like you may have old or conflicting plug-ins installed.  From the "Window" menu, select "Installed Plug-ins".  Save that page as HTML source (or as a webarchive), and post it to this bug.  Someone may have an idea about how to fix the issue by looking at that.

It looks like the QuickTime plugin is configured to handle Flash content. To change that, in System Preferences > QuickTime > Advanced, deselect "Enable Flash" if it is selected, click the MIME Settings button and deselect "Flash media" under "Miscellaneous file formats".

Ahh, that solved almost all of my problems!  Thank you!  I have one more question.  I'm not sure if what mog.com is using to playback mp3's is different from Flash, but I assume so, because that's the only place I've noticed now that still contains that Quicktime logo with the question mark.  Is there something else I can do to resolve that?
