As a follow-up of bug 46560 it would be great to know (exactly) how much memory the gst pipeline uses so it can be reported to JSC.

Just as an idea, we could use Freya[1]to calculate the memory commonly used by the gst pipeline, since to know it at run-time looks very complex to me.
