Which version of Safari were you using (on which version of Mac OS X)?
Was this using a nightly WebKit build? If not, could you try it to see if it works? http://nightly.webkit.org/

Almost a year without update on this bug. We are unable to confirm or deny existence of this bug. I resolve this bug as INVALID.
Matthew, if you are still experience the problem using the latest Webkit feel free to reopen this bug and attach more information about the issue.
