Joe Corneli
In my typical xmodmap file, I include these bindings among others:
keycode 23 = p P Delete
keycode 39 = r R Delete
So, somehow, the presence of Delete on the ModeSwitch layer is "visible" to Webkit/Xombrero, and, further, it means I can't type 'p' or 'r' into text fields. I'm able to enter these keys into the URL bar and search bar of the same program, and I've verified that it is not a hardware issue. I removed the Delete part of the binding, and 'p' and 'r' work fine in the text area after that.
This seems like it must be a Webkit problem not xombrero per se (unless I'm mistaken) but I've also pointed to the bug report I filed to the Xombrero tracker.
To clarify my setup: I'm running Xombrero (built from source) under X11 on Mac OS X 10.9.2 with dependencies installed via Macports. If I can provide further details please let me know.
