As a consequence, you get premature line breaks that makes the text look bad. See attachment. I don't see the need for having non-breaking space before and after anchors. Is there a reason for this behavior?

I've noticed that this is the case with other inline elements such as bold and italics too.

You can see the problem if you for example try this editor: http://ckeditor.com/demo Place the curser behind the last letter in the first link (with the text "Neil Amstrong"). Press space and write "test". Click the "Source" button in the upper right corner. You will see that the source code is now: <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Armstrong">Neil Armstrong</a>&nbsp;test
