When using light colored text on a dark background the text is rendered bolder looking in comparison to dark text on a light background. The URL provided details the problem.

This has nothing to do with WebKit IMO. You're complaining about OS X antialiasing.

Chris, If you'd still like to file a bug about this issue, you may create a bug report on https://bugreport.apple.com/ and refer back to this Bugzilla bug. You need an ADC account to do this, but you may create a free "online" ADC account on https://connect.apple.com/. Please report the "Radar" bug number assigned back in this bug as well.
