Consider merging https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/blink/+/2f12738b1289b3c5ab26df2e125e64dfe6453ff0
Doing option.value = "x" would cause a sync attach of the text if there was no Text node there
already. Unfortunately Text::setData still causes a sync reattach so if you already have a text
node it'll attach right then, but this is one small step closer.
