As illustrated in the attached test case, floating a link in certain circumstances can cause links to disappear and/or not function as links. This happens with the current WebKit nightly (r18195) as well as current shipping Safari versions (419.3). Test case attached.

None of the tested browsers (Safari, Chrome, and Firefox) show any status bar information for the floated group.
