Maybe this is by design, but the old webkit inspector allowed you to clear traffic and still record new stuff.

Sounds like we could add the trash can icon to the Timelines navigation bar so that it can be cleared the same way you can clear the Console log.

That would be ideal from a UX perspective. Currently the "record" button clears it, but it's not very intuitive.

Sounds good. Record starts a new recording, trash would just clear and keep recording (if we were recording).
