Strict mode - no overlap
In strict mode, the table clears the floats, but in quirks mode it doesn't. Adding <!DOCTYPE HTML> to the original page fixes its layout. Firefox's behavior (in both modes) is like WebKit's quirks mode (which is perhaps the reason for the quirk). I am not able to reproduce this bug using both attached test cases and all browser (Chrome Canary 107, Firefox Nightly 106 and Safari Technology Preview 152) render it same. I am going to mark this as "RESOLVED CONFIGURATION CHANGED". Thanks! |
