Test-case in http://jsfiddle.net/laukstein/LLNsV/5/ "text-overflow: ellipsis" must handle correctly ellipsis when ever expected. Opera 12.14 seems the only browser handling it correctly.

I do not notice any flickering. Maybe this has been fixed. And this could be closed.
