Could you please explain in more detail how this is related to WebKit? WebKit nightly builds do not replace system WebKit, so they do not affect any other applications. What does Speed Download do that it's affected by WebKit nightly builds? Is there a Safari extension where you choose "download with speed download"?

I'm not sure how this is related..I attach a picture to explain. It's just like you right click, and choose download with speed download. It always works fine with safari. And also when testing a webpage, it looked different from what I saw on safari. Another two pictures here. Hope that you can notice the difference.(It reminds me of the time when Chrome was first adapted to retina, it had words that just look like the lighter words in webkit.)The words(it's Chinese) look lighter in color and also thinner in webkit. Here's the link of the website.http://bbs.weiphone.com/thread-htm-fid-68.html And what's weird is when I first opened it, it looked just fine, and 0.5 second later it changed. Other Chinese websites don't have such problem.(or I haven't found it yet).

We haven't been able to reproduce this so far, Speed Download worked fine with r144639 nightly.

Yeah it seems so. Now it crashed the first time I tried to open it then it worked just fine. What about the website? Are you able to reproduce that?

Comment 8 2013-03-04 23:15:49 PST
OK, marking INVALID if this no longer reproduces for you. Chances are that this was a random Speed Download crash, not something caused by a change in WebKit. > What about the website? We try very hard to not discuss multiple issues in one bug, as this tends to cause a lot of confusion for everyone involved. That said, what you describe sounds like <https://bugs.webkit.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23364>. It is known that more websites fall into this optimized code path in newer WebKit versions. Please file a new bug if you have additional input about the font rendering issue.
