I found qtwebkit-based application uses much higher CPU when rendering pages with streaming flash video compared with other browsers like IE. Here is an example: http://www.rtve.es/noticias/directo/canal-24h/
When I play it in the browser or fancybrowser demo shipped with QT, it consumes about 5% CPU when streaming the video. When the same video is played in IE, it is between 2% and 1%. My computer is quadcore i7-2600. On slower computer, the difference will be further magnified.
