Pages in any version of Safari (2.0 versions) and any nightly build of Webkit scroll pages very very slowly and use high cpu for me. To fix it, I enabled the debug menu in Safari and toggled the "use transparent menu" option from off to on to off again and somehow, this fixes it for the current window that's open. Pages then scroll super smoothly. Any time I open a new window or reopen the browser, I must do the same thing in order to fix the scrolling again (new tabs are not affected once trick is applied). This could be limited to my machine, or OSX install, because I have taken this same hard drive over to a different laptop and had the same problem. I originally had 10.4 with this problem, upgraded to 10.4.7 and still had the problem. Does anyone know what toggling use menu transparency does? I turn it from off to on to off again (while its on its smooth too, but transparency is not why i used this) This is very peculiar to me. Please comment

Paul, could you give URLs of specific pages that you're seeing slow scrolling on? Thanks!
