This is a snippet of entries I made into Apple's bug tracker as feature requests which has gone unanswered or commented. Hopefully someone here will have some input on the matter. I look forward to any comments etc.

I am writing in hopes that I can convince someone to add a powerful feature to Safari. Its called an hta (Hyper Text Application) The reference for this product is available here. http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/author/hta/hta_node_entry.asp
I stumbled across this one day and found it to be an extremely handy feature as it allows a completely new level of programming on the system. Yes, i know I can pop open windows with js and all but this gives you much more control over the browser and to make it feel like a real application. An example of this which I made is visible via a PC / explorer at
http://www.execuchoice.net/test/index.hta
I have heard of browsers on the mac being put in a kiosk mode but this requires additional browser-external scripts and it defeats the purpose. Using this method allows developers to make make TRUE web applications. Security is handled via a popup that asks if it is ok to load the application and provide an option to remember this application. I am readily avialable for testing and any assistance in this matter. Please feel free to contact me at any time.

Steffan, please add the RADAR bug number (if you have it) to a comment in this bug, and add the "InRadar" keyword to this bug. Thanks!

The relevant MSDN document has been removed. The description here sounds a bit like PWA and other web apps, so I believe the intent of this bug is well covered by other Bugzilla bugs and radars.
