JavaScript engines are moving to much closer compatibility & spec compliance, and I haven't seen any progress on this feature on the standards track. Since this bug has gone nowhere in 5 years, I don't think we're aware of any pressing web compatibility needs, and this is not being standardized, I don't think this is something we're going to implement. Hope this seems reasonable, please reopen if this decision seems inappropriate - if there are major website compatibility reasons of standards progress that would justify doing so.
