    <thetext>It was reported that WebKit can&apos;t play several radio streams. Totem can handle them fine, so I&apos;m reporting this against WebKit rather than GStreamer.

Example stream that works only in Totem: http://m.energy.de/webradio/cha/special

(Note, the stream does not play at all for me. I think it requires MP3.)</thetext>

    <thetext>Those streams seems to use the HLS adaptive streaming protocol.

The core of the issue is that hlsdemux uses our httpsrc element in WebKit whereas in Totem the usual souphttpsrc element would be used to download fragments.
