Steps to reproduce the problem: Have a block box with the CSS properties and values of overflow:hidden, white-space:nowrap and text-overflow:ellipsis and a child input that is floated right. What is the expected behavior? The inline box should overflow the float and be clipped (with ellipsis showing) at the right edge of the block box. What went wrong? The inline box is being clipped (with ellipsis showing) at the right edge of child input that is floated right.
